Our Story
At Child's Spirit, Inc., our vision is to become a significant force for help and support to children and their families with challenges in the Kentuckiana area.
Our Mission
Our mission is to lift the spirits of children with challenges. We also recognize that often the challenges that a child's faces create challenges for the family members. Child’s Spirit, Inc's mission is: Lifting spirits of families of children with challenges – one family at a time.

Our Story
Bringing a smile to the faces of children confronting unimaginable challenges inspired this group to do more for the children in our community. It's a genuine passion for community service that unites our board. With this goal in mind, Child's Spirit, Inc. was formed and incorporated in the summer of 2014 and obtained 501(c)(3) status shortly thereafter. Our group consists of seven individuals. They are Grace Patterson, Santosh Bhatt, Karen Bhatt, Christopher Squires, Louise Miller, Terri Massey and Dennis Miller.
OUR MISSION
We want to help children and their families who face challenges due to an illness, mental, physical, or financial issues, and more. Often families become overwhelmed, or a child has a special request or need that may require help from outside. Such help and support will remove some burden/stress from the child and the family. Our mission is to lift the spirits of families of children with challenges - One family at a time.
Child's Spirit has decided to keep the help and support at an individual level instead of the institutional level. Many charity organizations in our local area do a wonderful job. If we made a financial contribution to such an organization, we are sure it will be put to good use, but we would not know who was helped or how our help lifted a spirit or two. So, we work directly with the challenged child/family to see the impact quickly and more readily.

We count on folks like you to direct families with challenges to us or direct us to the families. We are here to help children up to 18 years in the Kentuckiana area. If you know someone in need of a helping hand, please inform us.
